SYAILENDRA HARAHAP

Syailendra Harahap graduated from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, Bandung, Indonesia. He started his work promoting science in Indonesia by develop experiment for science television program “Galileo” (2004) and “Science is Fun” (2011). He also conduct teachers training and workshop “fun with science & research” accross islands and remote areas in Indonesia for more than ten years. Syailendra is director and one of the founder of Center for Innovative Learning, steering committee member of Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS), president of Global Youth Enterprise Challenge (GYEC), and he also jury member in international science fairs and International Conference of Young Scientists (ICYS).

ANIKE NELCE BOWAIRE

Anike grew up in Serui, Papua and graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Universitè de Nice Sophia Antipolis, France. Anike was a facilitator for science teachers training since 2009, and mostly to rural areas. Anike won The First Step to Nobel Prize in Physics in 2005, and she also represented Indonesia in International Conference of Young Scientists 2005. Now Anike work as a lecturer in Universitas Cendrawasih, Jayapura.

RIZKY SATRIO NUGROHO

Rizky was part of the Indonesian team that won the Global Enterprise Challenge in 2009. Back then he and his “Spoon” team member be able to create the best business solution to minimize food waste by creating a campaign through designed plate. After graduating from Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia in 2015 he began his professional career as a business consultant in company called Catalyst Strategy. Following his passion to be a successful and impactful entrepreneur, Rizky decided to quit his job and help his family business to grow. Today, Rizky focus on helping buildings in Jakarta to create better natural environment by distributing living plants through his plant provider business. He aspired to grow the horticulture Industry in Indonesia so it can creates more jobs and also create a healthier society in urban area.

BUDI GANDASOEBRATA

Budi graduated from Fontys University of Applied Science, Eindhoven. After graduating, he began his career in ST-Ericsson in Netherlands and Singapore before moved back to  Indonesia in 2012 to started his career in FinTech Company, Midtrans. Today, Budi work as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at GO-PAY.

JANTO V. SULUNGBUDI

Janto has been teaching physics at the Department of Physics at Parahyangan Catholic University for 25 years. In his efforts to encourage students to understand the principles of physics and enjoy the process of learning physics, he always uses down-to-earth demonstrations and practical real-life examples. From 2000 to 2004, as content provider for the national televised science quiz called “Galileo”, he proved beyond doubt that science can also be fun and entertaining. Galileo grew to become the most popular TV programme in Indonesia throughout its period of airing. Janto currently continues to provide content for several televised science programmes, spreading “Science is Fun” nationwide, and sometimes travels across Indonesia to conduct seminars and workshops on Fun with Physics. With all his activities, plus being jury in various science-based competitions, he feels confident in reaching his dream: to transform Physics from being one of the most feared subjects to become one of the most exciting subjects for students in Indonesia.

HOKKY SITUNGKIR

Hokky Situngkir was born on February 7 th , 1978, and is currently the director of Research Center for Complexity Studies in Surya University and the President of the Bandung Fe Institute, the institute for social complexity in Indonesia. His research spectrum is diverse from computational sociology studies, memetics and cultural evolutionary studies, dynamical system analysis, neural network and statistical modeling, and financial analysis. His works have been awarded the 101, 102, 103, and 104 most prospective Innovations in Indonesia (2009-2011) by the Republic of Indonesia Research and Technology Ministry. He was a laurete of Ahmad Bakrie Award (2011) for outstanding young scientist. His works on Indonesian Batik were recorded by Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) and received the National Intellectual Property Award from the Republic Indonesia Ministry of Law and Human Rights (2013). He received the Silver Medal of Ganesha Innovation Champinship Award (GICA, 2014) from the Association of Institut Teknologi Bandung Alumni. Situngkir is an Ashoka Fellow (2012) and the national Tempo news magazine named him as one of the 10 Inventors in Indonesia (2012).

FASYA FAHLEFI

Fasya graduated from Surya University majoring in Physics Energy Engineering. He is currently finishing his thesis whilst working for an IT company. He has been frequently invited as a mentor for a couple of science competition. From 2014 to 2017 he joined Center for Innovative Learning (CIL). During that period he built a hovercraft and also science exhibits for a science center. In 2016 he is chosen as a mentor for Surya Institute’s team, participating in Indonesia’s first space program sending paddy to the International Space Station (ISS). Now 23 years old and working for an IT Company, he is very dedicated in fulfilling his dream which is to digitize Indonesia starting from villages.

FRANS SUGIARTA

Frans Ade Nugraha Sugiarta is UID’s Academic Director. He completed ELIAS Leadership Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, and is the co-founder and designer of IDEAS Indonesia. Focusing his interest in Learning Organization, Frans is a lecturer, coach and mentor for a wide range of participants, from youths to practicing leaders in many organizations in Indonesia and globally. Education : Mathematics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). In addition serving as faculty member of IDEAS Indonesia Program, Frans is also actively serving as International Speaker and Learning Partner to many Organization in Asia Pacific region like BSAF Asia, Bank Indonesia (BI), Metro TV, Trial Institute Philippines, Social Service Training Institute Singapore, Conservation International and many more, in creating the organization collective intellegence capacity to address their complex challenges. Frans is certified Theory U facilitator from Presencing Institute USA and  ses Theory U process and Organization Learning concept as the main underpinning theory and methodology in doing his works.
